Calvary Church

In 1951 a small group of believers began meeting together in a storefront.  In the sixty-plus years since Calvary Church has undertaken a number of construction projects.  Perhaps none more daunting than when they sensed the Holy Spirit prompting them to leave their existing traditional worship facility and acquire the Showcase Cinema multiplex theater.  Uncertain of the community’s reaction and with a limited budget, Calvary turned to Midwest Church Design + Construction to develop a multi-phase strategy to begin worshipping on-site and renovation of the massive 110,000 square foot facility.

It required the renovation of the massive 110,000 sq. ft. move theater facility, which was approached in phases.

Our Approach

With such a dynamic vision, mission, and staff at CedarCreek church, we knew we needed to plan not for the size of the congregation now, but where CedarCreek would be in 5-10 years. Our design approach focused on utilizing every square inch of space for the amount of ministry that would take place on this campus. One night you could have an elegant wedding in the chapel and easily convert it to an intimate classroom the next.
